postal dude, who you play as, goes postal, you need to kill to go trough, the only choice you have is if youre gonna shoot the unarmed civilians or not, as only the cops are nescessary to go to the next level, which, btw, you go by pressing f1 after the percentage needed is got, very redudant, and nonsensical, but its an old game so it will allways have weird choices, the ending is really dark, specially for you, american lads, which postal dude goes to a kindergarden, and we dont know if he actually kill the kids or not, because the bullets do no damage to them and the level ends, its dark so dont go play it with a weak heart, the story is non existent, the point is just killing, its hatred for the old school.
